Bülent Ürek
Every line is drawn from the shape of your head — read first, then shaped by scissors, never by a guard number.
Read the head first
Before the scissors move, the head is read like a map — the slope of the skull, the direction of growth, the whorls, the hairline's quiet asymmetries. A cut copied from a photograph fights all of it. A cut built from it doesn't.
Structure
Bone structure and the shape of the skull decide what a cut can do — and what it shouldn't try to. The design starts there, not with a photograph on a phone.
Growth
Hair is cut with the grain of how it actually grows. The finished shape moves the way your hair moves — on day one and on day twenty.
The Blade
A guard number describes a length; it can't describe a shape. The work here is scissor-led and slower by design, because slow is the only way to stay exact.
The result isn't a style pulled off a wall of photographs. It's the one your head was already shaped for.
What a sitting involves
01 The Cut
A full anatomic haircut, built section by section around the shape of your skull and the way your hair actually falls. No templates, no copied photographs — every line cut by hand, by eye.
02 Beard Sculpture
The beard is read the same way the head is — jaw structure, growth density, the line where beard meets neck. Shaped to sit with the face, not trimmed to a length.
03 Consultation
For a first sitting. Time spent reading the shape of your head and discussing what a scissor-led cut can do for it, before anything is cut.
04 The VIP Sitting
Hair and beard, face mask, hair treatment, wash and styling — the full sequence, unhurried.
Recent work
A working archive — updated as the chair does. Four sittings. Different heads, the same reading.

Bülent Ürek
Bülent approaches every head the way a sculptor approaches stone — by looking first.
His method rejects the assembly-line rhythm of guard numbers in favour of scissor work, used slowly, precisely, and differently for every client who sits down. It is a discipline built on reading rather than repeating: the slope of a skull, the grain of natural growth, the small asymmetries most cuts ignore.
Over twenty-three years he has earned international recognition for a trend-focused, modern artistry — work that has shaped how men's style is read rather than following it. He co-founded MenLine in Vancouver, where the same standard applies to every chair.
The result is a haircut that looks inevitable — as if it couldn't have been done any other way.
